Measuring 26" by 18 3/4" (33" by 26" as framed in pink metal frame and matching mat), it is a powerfully impressionistic work by a master of watercolor art. Signed artist's proof entitled "Cake Dreams"...A contemporary, award- winning artist, Leviten (1928-2014) was known for her abstract monoprints and collages. Exhibitions: RISD Museum, El Paso Museum, Dan Forth Museum and in the Institute del Arte La Paz, Mexico. Leviten was also an active member of the Providence Art Club. Old (pre 1920, possibly as early as late 19th century) watercolor of coastal rocks, 10" by 14", the frame in which found measuring 18 1/2" by 22", signed at lower right "T. G. Stowers". The work, found in New England, was mounted on an old board years ago. As it was loose in the frame, I have removed it for photography, and will ship it between boards. It has taken some research on the net to determine that this unusual item is apparently an early 20th century facsimile of an incunabula (pre 1500 printing) leaf from a book. JOHANN GRUENINGER (1455-1533) was a major, prolific early German printer and publisher, who developed an innovative method for illustrating books. This sheet on rag type paper measures 11" by 8". Sepia ink on paper drawing, 5 3/4" by 3 3/4" inside a red mat opening, 11" by 8 1/2" as framed, signed at lower left and dated there 1864, by listed English woman artist SARAH LOUISA KILPACK (1840-1909). This is a sweet, beautiful little drawing by an artist who seems to have created mostly coastal landscapes in oil, especially along the English Channel or around the Channel Islands of Guernsey and Jersey. Small oil landscape, 13 1/2" by 9 1/2" framed, signed at lower right corner with initials N.A.M., with canvas stencil on the reverse of Winsor & Newton, London. This is a scene of autumn or early spring perhaps, the tree without leaves. There is a small irrigation channel with sluice gate at center left. The work is a quiet and pleasant scene focusing on a peaceful time of the year. A gold frame would enhance the painting. Condition is good, the canvas not perfectly flat.

The size of work: 9 7/8" x 12 3/4", This is small size Zeka’s work but it is very interesting one as another human forms. It is pained with black paint on Aquarellpappe (thick Watercolor paper board), I do not know what kind paint, as well as whitish area with another kind. Research to date of this artist name has not been productive. The 20" by 24" work (26" by 30" in wood frame) has acquired some general soiling and light abrasions in a few places. An oil on board painting of a harbor surrounded by old houses, 9 3/4" by 13 1/2" (13 3/4" by 17 3/4" framed), unsigned, circa 1950. The work is by a competent, trained artist and exhibits excellent impressionist technique. It seems to be of American origin as "Patent Pending" is stamped on the reverse of the board.

An interesting Mid-Century abstract on paper, 12" by 16" inside the mat, 18 3/4" by 23" framed, unsigned. The work could well date to the 1960's, the paper thin and slightly browned. I am not clear on the type of paint used; it is not simple watercolor. Could be a mix of some sort; the gold is metallic and the darkest portions have a gloss when viewed at an angle. Circa late 19th century watercolor painting, probably American, 9 1/2" by 13" (16" by 19 1/4" framed), unsigned, featuring distant high snowy peaks behind a foreground lake. This was found in California and could be a scene of the American west. More than likely, it is by a listed artist---who neglected to sign his or her work. There is some edge browning from the mat, otherwise the work is in excellent condition considering its obvious age.

Pastel and gouache mixed media work on red paper, measuring 18 1/4" by 13 1/2" plus thin old black wood frame, signed at lower right with what appears to be "Macero Arbuckle" and dated '04 (1904). I don't see any information on the artist. This is an interesting illustration work that is quite subtle, and being subtle, doesn't lend itself to being photographed easily. Condition is excellent. There is an old sticker on glass at lower left corner with "13" written on it.
