A truly beautiful circa 1890 print of elegant Parisians strolling past and perusing the famous Bouquiniste bookstalls along the banks of the Seine River, not signed in plate nor in pencil but certainly by a listed or even important and well-known artist. To date, reverse image searches and other internet research have, frustratingly, not revealed the identity of that artist. There are no watermarks...

The work is nicely executed and were it signed we would likely know that it was created by a listed artist. The date I would estimate as circa 1920 to 1940 or so. There is a two inch scratch at right center in the base of the trees...

The painting is something of a mystery, the mysterious hand and spectacles at lower left coming from outside the image area. Almost certainly this was created by a listed artist but without a signature I cannot go further on that front...
