Pastel on paper laid on board, the subject fruits and a porcelain cup on a tabletop, a vase with at top center, 20" by 15 1/2" (27" by 23" as framed), signed at lower right "Olds" (MARION VALE OLDS 1901-1993). The work is a fine example by this talented woman artist, the cramped artistic space and carefully thought-out arrangement of the objects in that space indicative of an artist of great talent who is taking from Cezanne as well as the WPA (I would guess the age as circa 1930's or 1940's)...

A very old, very well executed detailed antique painting of currants, grapes, raspberries and plums on a platter, apparently unsigned, measuring 11" by 12 1/4" (17 1/2" by 19 1/2" in an older, attractive frame). The oil on canvas is laid down on Masonite. It is difficult to determine the exact age, but early 19th century or even earlier would not be unreasonable...

Drypoint etching print "Chattes" (Cats) published in Paris in the year 1909 by Gustave Pellet, 8 3/4" by 12 1/4" inside the inner fillet, 17 3/4" by 21 3/4" as nicely framed, numbered in pencil 38/50 (and faint red cypher stamp) at lower right margin, and pencil signed by the artist at lower center right margin. There is a crease in each lower corner that I believe likely dates to the time of printing, and there are a few foxing spots, but the overall appearance is excellent...

This is a very early work by mr Levier, oil on canvas in a beautiful contemporary linen lined frame measuring 14.5” x 30” Bio: Charles Levier (1920-2003) was born in Corsica to a French father and an American mother. At 17 he attended the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris. During World War II Levier served in the French Army in North Africa, later becoming Liaison Officer with the U.S. Office of Strategic Services...

The work is signed at lower left by LUDOVIC-RODO PISSARRO (1878-1952), one of four sons of famous French impressionist artist Camille Pissarro. "Rodo" as he was often called throughout his life, was born in Paris and early on received training from his father...

Nice frame in green and gilt. Image size "8 ¾ / 22.5 cm x "6 ½ / 16.5 cm, frame "14 / 35 cm x "11 ½ / 29 cm. Condition: the edge of the paper with some minor spots.

Watercolor on paper painting of a classic stone castle with figures outside its portals, 14" by 10 1/2" (26 1/2" by 23" as framed), apparently unsigned. This is a circa 1850 work which has survived in presentable condition. There is foxing in the sky principally, as shown, but no large stains. To be sure, there were a lot of anonymous skilled watercolor artists in the British Isles in the 19th century, though this might well have been created by an artist that would be "listed" today.
