A colorful, vintage print by listed artist, Salvatore Petruolo. The original gilt frame (with glass) shows signs of wear and chipping. The label on the back reads "R.H.White & Co. Boston ...)The frame is 16" x 22" ~ print 10" x 16". Not examined out of frame.
An older print for the Right Honorable John Ker, Earl and Baron of Wakefield, also the Duke of Roxburghe and Marquis of Beaumont and Celsford, Earl of Kelso Viscount Browxmouth, Baron Ker of Cessfurd & Caverfton. Nicely framed. Numbered 230 on the right hand corner. Framed measurements 20-3/4" X 13-1/2"
Watercolor on paper painting 9 1/2" by 12 3/4" (14 1/2" by 18 1/2" framed), unsigned, executed on old watermarked paper. The scene is a landscape, perhaps an arid landscape of the west, but it's hard to tell for sure. Certainly it has some age, as the paper is toned (see edge indicating old mat presence in the past) and the reverse is even more browned, with sort of reverse images of the paint...
This is an original Currier and Ives lithograph print, frame opening 10" by 8" (total frame 14 1/2" by 12 1/2"), titled "Little Snowbird", from the 1860's, in a nineteenth century typical American walnut frame with gilt fillet. Unfortunately, this very old print has been damaged over the years, and it is now severely torn at top. The title portion and "Currier and Ives" are folded under, as are side portions. Therefore, the principal value of this item is the frame, and the print is a bonus...

This is a pair of engravings from Peterson's Magazine, 1877 and 1882, both nicely hand colored. Size as framed 18" by 20". The prints, titled "Les Modes Parisiennes" are very clean inside the mats. There are vertical central creases as no doubt issued. These would make for a pleasing addition to a bedroom or lady's feminine dressing area. Allow for reflections in some images.
A well-done pen and ink drawing of a Mennonite family in their horse-drawn buggy. This 13-1/2" x 8-1/2" sight size drawing is in shades of brown with white, and it comes in a 17-3/4" x 12-3/4" gold trimmed wood frame. It is signed AUGUSTINE and it is glazed with non-glare glass. It is in excellent original condition with no chips, cracks, foxing, bends, tears, fading, losses, damage or repairs other than a few small scrapes to the finish on the frame and a small shallow crease to the paper...

Watercolor painting of a lone fisherman on coastal rocks, 14 3/4" by 22" (22 1/2" by 29" framed), signed at right center "E. Dunlavey". This is a well executed impressionist work by an artist who does not appear to be listed in standard directories...
Likely painted for the southern tourist trade between about 1920 and 1950 or so, is this oil on a slice of palmetto wood, roughly oval shape, approximate dimensions 10" by 13", the slab 1" thick, signed at bottom left in the image "A. Donhauser". This locale could be anywhere from Texas through Georgia, given the Spanish Moss on the tree. The palmetto slab is unusual and adds interest. An unusual item. There is a small loss on the tree trunk.
In the tradition of Victorian rose paintings of the late 19th and early 20th century, here is an unframed work, canvas laid on board, 11 1/2" by 21 1/2", signed at lower right "IDMAY". The painting likely dates to the early years of the 20th century, a time when young girls were encouraged to take up the "ladylike" skill of flower painting. "IDMAY" might have been Ida Mae----one of these young ladies. Our artist was of average skill, but her handiwork has outlived her...
An oil on canvas painting of white flowers in a glass vase on a table top, two small porcelain vessels nearby, the work signed at lower right by artist Minerva Smithers. On the stretcher in pencil is written "Matilija Poppy" and then the artist again wrote her name in longhand...
Acrylic on canvas contemporary painting of palms, depicted in yellow, pinkish-red and greenish-blue against an electric blue background, 18" by 24", unframed, signed at lower right by the artist, Shannon Casey. This is a nicely decorative, breezy work that will surely add a touch of the tropics to your interior. There are a very few minor spots of soiling or abrasion that hardly detract from the overall effect.
This is a hand painted original work, the subject a newly married couple, he in Edwardian (??) formal coat and medals and monocle, she in traditional white with a corsage. The image was either intentionally cut out by the artist and pasted onto a board which was in turn pasted onto a light green silky surface, or someone has subsequently decided on this presentation. Currently the figures therefore stand out in something of a three dimensional manner from the background. I do not see any evi...
