Signed American original oil landscape painting tenderly depicting a father and son sitting among the rocks along a river's edge with a luminous back lit area set against rich dark bluish green trees and water, aptly titled: Father's Day and signed by a self taught American landscape painter at lower right as: Mimi Dee.
The father and son are not detailed, allowing emphasis on the promising luminous area beyond, reversing the usual academic "rule" of cool back and warm foreground...

A very fine mid 20th century neo-impressionist silk screen print of a small village scene, possibly European. The print is an artist proof signed d fritz - we believe, but could be d frity. The foreground tree is spectacular. Condition is very good but is faded somewhat and has a tear in the margin which we hope to fix before selling. Dimension: 29" x 21" sheet

By the well regarded Belgian artist JACQUES HOTE (1939-1986), this is a highly worked, detailed ink drawing on Japan tissue-type paper, measuring 8 1/2" by 11 1/4" (13 1/2" by 15 1/2" simply framed, no glass). The work is signed at lower right and dated there March 22,1969. The figures, caricatures, really, are quite strange, many with exaggerated Gallic noses; the subject/message of the drawing is not clear to me, but it likely lies in the realm of politics and satire and social commentary...

This is a 20th century restrike of the 1859 etching "Thames Police" (also known as "Wapping Wharf", by the famous American artist JAMES ABBOTT McNEILL WHISTLER (1834-1903). Oil on canvas, 13" by 16" (17" by 20" as framed), the subject a glass compote filled with purple plums, the base surrounded by clusters of white and red currants, signed at lower left with a signature that appears to be "Bielard", "Bichard", or "Beclard" or possibly "Bulard".
