Oil on canvas, 20" by 27" and simple wood frame 1 1/4" wide on a side, the subject a ceramic vase with exotic bird motif, on a tabletop, the vase and surrounding area filled with various flowers including carnations, hydrangeas, roses of various colors, and perhaps goldenrod. The work is signed at lower right "G Cocco" (GIUSEPPE COCCO 1879-1963), a listed painter from Naples, Italy. Cocco's signature is hard to decipher and as a result I think he is less known than he should be...

Hudson River School style watercolor on paper, 13 1/2" by 19" inside the mat, 24" by 30" as framed, signed at lower right "Byron Albee". This is a subtle, delicate, beautifully executed watercolor of trees and a line of stones next to a pond. Because it IS so subtle, it does not photograph impressively; but in person it is appealing. The work has survived the years in excellent condition with only a bit of well balanced overall browning of the paper...

This is a fresh and clean example of the 1956 print "The Four Sisters, Chazalet", one of an edition of only 675 examples, signed in pencil at lower right and bearing an characteristic embossed blind stamp and, in the image, (copyright symbol) "F & R (Frost and Reed) at lower left. The print measures 18" by 24" (26 1/2" by 32" as framed). According to information on the net, Chazalet is a small medieval period town in central France near the famed ceramics town of Limoges...

This is a drawing in ink, 16 3/4" by 12 1/2" (25 1/2" by 21" in its old stained oak frame), signed at lower right by English-born artist Frederick (Fred) Sommerville Morgan (1865-1932). A small gouache painting of what I believe to be New York's tony upper 5th Avenue area in winter, the view looking south, encompassing the entry to the Metropolitan Museum of Art, skyscrapers filling the distance, 7" by 10 3/4" (13 1/2" by 17" in gold metal frame with double mat). I think it also possible that the scene could be Chicago's Michigan Avenue and the Chicago Art Museum; more research needed. The work is signed at lower left by German-born artist FRANZ BACHELIN (1895-1980)...
