Etching, in a style that exhibits both the fine detail and subtle shading techniques of Rembrandt, the subject matter three human heads, one head of a goat, and one, a ram, by the French draftsman, etcher and engraver, JEAN-JACQUES DE BOISSIEU (1736-1810). The print, 6 1/4" by 8" inside the blue mat (10 1/2" by 13 1/2" framed), is signed at lower center just with initials, the "DB" conjoined, and is dated there 1803...

Watercolor on paper painting, 18" by 12 3/8" (24" by 18" as framed), unsigned, the subject classic red roses, buds and leaves, all in a pleasing vintage gold frame which is in very good condition, with just a little bit of loss at bottom margin. The painting likely dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. It has survived in fine shape, with no foxing nor water stains. If you fancy the Shabby Chic style, this is a natural.

Offered is a PAIR of unframed watercolor on heavy paper paintings, each in turn with a simpler work or study on the reverse side, each signed by Southern California listed artist KEN DECKER (1926-1994). Decker, according to printed information on the sleeve (these 11 1/4" by 15" works are not framed), was born in St. Louis, and after growing up in Southern California and military service in the Pacific, studied at the Portland School of Art in Oregon...

Etching of children in a landscape, 8 1/4" by 10 3/4" inside the present mat (the full sheet 14 1/2" by 17"), not signed but printed information on mat provides artist name, a possible title "Hagyateki Anyaga" and possible edition ("5/50"). The artist is ISTVAN SZONYI (1894-1960). A student of Karoly Ferenczy at the Academy of Fine Arts in 1913, he had early exposure to the art colony at Nagybanya and its prominent and gifted figures, including greats such as Vilmos Aba Novak...

Japanese etching by "Norikane Hiroto", (1949- ), frame size - 9" x 6 1/2", image size - 3 3/4" x 5 1/2", signed and numbered "119/500" in lower area with double cut mat and rounded corner black wooden frame, frame work done by Kanda's B.O.Q Gallery in Japan. A fine aquatint print circa 1930's, the subject one of the famous canals of old Bruges, Belgium, pencil signed at lower right margin by French artist FREDERIC LOUIS LEVE (1877-1968), and numbered in pencil 86 at lower left margin, where there is a blind stamp in the paper. Leve was a painter in oil and watercolor but is most widely known for his skill in aquatint, a form of etching which lends itself to creating prints that look very much like watercolor.
