A pencil sketch of Glendalough county Wicklow Ireland with a strong attribution to the British artist Edward Lear (1812-1888). Drawn with pencil on bluish heavy laid paper with ink, ink washes, touches of white gouche and faded washes of green. In 1835 Lear visited Ireland, one of his early trips as he turned from bird illustration to landscape. The party he traveled with visited Glendalough. Impressive French cast bronze image of Napoleon wearing a hat, long coat and boots, carrying a sword, with "A. C. Harron A2372" to the base and a stamp reading "Bronze Garanti Au Titre L.V. Deposee." Approx. 20 by 7 inches, 50.7 by 17.9 cm, no condition issues noted.

A very fine original etching by American artist Stephen Parrish, this image is one of three images Parrish created of Chester, a small walled town near Liverpool, England. Anthony Van Dyck, European, 1599-1641, "Adrianus Stalbent". This is an original engraving by Paulus Pontius after the painting by Anthony Van Dyck. The image size is 9 5/8 x 6 3/4 inches, c. 1700s, inscribed "Ant. van Dyck pinxit" and "Paul. du pont sculpt" in the lower left margin, with the title and a phrase in Latin below the image, with the original Kennedy Gallery label.
