This round shape gold hair (acicular) crystal is 3 ¼ inches tall, 2 ¼ inches wide and 1 ½ inches thick. It depicts a group of Chinese goldfish swimming in a weed filled pond. The gold hairs (or needles) make this well painted bottle even more interesting. The artist Shi Qing studied at Zhejiang Academy of Art. In 1983, he studied under Master Wang Guan-Yu. A very colorful 19th century Mexican retablo depicting a scene called "L'Alegoria de la Redencion." The composition depicts the elongated body of the crucified Christ spanning Heaven and Hell. God, making the sign of blessing and the Holy Spirit (in the form of a dove) watch from the upper section, while condemned souls in supplication watch from the flames of Hell at the bottom. Interestingly, the artist depicted one of the condemned souls as a Cardinal, indentifiable by his red cap...

¡°Hokkan ¨C Mountains, Seoul, Korea¡± was published 6 December, 1937. The carver was Maeda; the printer was Honda. It has Paul Jacoulet¡¯s pencil signature and red Tea Jar seal on the lower right corner. It has great color; margins and edges are slightly toned. It is in very good condition.

Poem S B. This small and unpretentious print was a sleeper. Whoever sold it knew not what he had. Indeed neither did I until well after it came here to Beijing. It is a very rare 1968 Maki print. Not 1967 and not 1969. It has the kanji for Rope in the center and that is placed on a subtle but firmly done kanji for STONE - but the kanji is in there ass backwards. The correct rendering is in image 5. Mysteries abound.I have never seen the sub-title SB in a Maki print...

It is in good condition and has been lined long ago. There is an old tag on the upper back with the name in French and a price of $27,500. He is listed in Benezit and his paintings sell for up to $75,000.
