This appears at first like a classic traditional sporting art print of fox hunting, but closer examination reveals it is in fact a highly detailed early watercolor and ink drawing...

Antique watercolor painting of a castle-like structure in an extensive landscape, 7 1/4" by 10 7/8", 14" by 17" in frame, signed with initials "M. N" and dated 1882 and, curiously, also 1888, at lower left corner. This is likely by an amateur watercolorist. The work is a survivor, with paper browning, broken off corners, and a small puncture at center right. Presently it is loose and unmounted within the framing.
