The print, 6 1/4" by 8" inside the blue mat (10 1/2" by 13 1/2" framed), is signed at lower center just with initials, the "DB" conjoined, and is dated there 1803...

A large lithograph print, the sheet 28 1/2" by 22 3/4", unframed, signed at center right with his monogram "JR" and star symbol, dated there 1950. This is a work of American illustrator artist JAMES REYNOLDS (1896-1996). The imagery of flowers and leaves reminds of the work of American twentieth century artist Charles Burchfield. Reynolds is often confused in art auction records and biographies with western American contemporary artist James Reynolds.

Oil on canvas painting of a rocky windy coastline, likely in Ireland or Scotland I believe, signed at lower right "Peg McCarty". I do not see a listing for the artist. There is a canvas stamp on reverse, of Winsor & Newton, London, England. Measurements 14" by 18" (17 1/2" by 21 1/2" framed). Condition is excellent save for a few drips of foreign matter, brownish, along the ridgeline/horizon at left, and in sea at left center.

For the collector of contemporary art, this is an unusual mixed media work signed at lower right by MARGARET HEHMAN (known since 1985 as Margaret Hehman-Smith). The work (11 3/4" by 16 3/8", 20 1/2" by 25 1/4" as framed behind glass) is executed with ochre chalky paint over a thin highly polished aluminum sheet. The artist has a website, which shows that she grew up in Pennsylvania, and studied at the Otis Art Institute in Los Angeles in the mid 1970s, with some study in Europe as well...

A small unframed watercolor painting of an early adobe structure of Northern California, similar to the historical, rare structures that may be seen today around the plaza in Sonoma, 7" by 9 1/2", signed at lower right by listed artist JEAN G. WALFORD (1875-1938). Walford was born in England, but was in Berkeley by 1917. She ran an art gallery until her passing in 1938. The watercolor came from an old Bay Area collection.

This hand carved rock crystal snuff bottle is 2 ½ inches tall, 1 ¼ inches wide and 1 inch thick. It depicts a bird resting on a small branch of a gourd plant. The snuff bottle is well hollowed and polished. It has a cone shaped agate top. The crystal has natural grains and impurities.

This little painting, 9 1/4" by 7 1/4', set into a larger quality frame/mat, 22" by 19 3/4", depicts a thatched roof hut, figures carrying items on their heads, and lush tropical mountains and vegetation. The painting is executed in a very impressionist hand, and is quite lovely, but is also very dirty. A professional cleaning would really be well worthwhile investment. The frame being old is showing its age, with losses as seen. The artist is listed in Davenport's dictionary of artists but there does not seem to be much information available on him or her.
