This hand carved rock crystal snuff bottle is 2 ½ inches tall, 1 ¼ inches wide and 1 inch thick. It depicts a bird resting on a small branch of a gourd plant. The snuff bottle is well hollowed and polished. It has a cone shaped agate top. The crystal has natural grains and impurities.

A modern, stylish abstract in violets and blue-green colors, nicely framed ("floating") with inner fillet and very complementary silvery outer frame, signed at lower right by artist MARC BENSIMON (1926-) and dated there 1982. A circa 1960's vintage oil on Masonite painting, 30" by 18" (36 1/2" by 24 1/2" as framed), unsigned, the subject a peaceful creek or marsh land area in late autumn, one tree in full autumnal colors.
