Nepal 16-18th C Copper and silver Dipankara Buddha . The sculpture done in a copper alloy with silver inlay to the forehead the palms of the hands as well as the front and back of the skirt. Very well sculpted and cast. Showing extensive signs of use from wear to black altar soot , note the base where the rim edge has nearly worn away the metal slivers used to hold the base plate on. The sculpture matches exactly to one in the Victoria and Albert Museum but theirs seems to have a replaced base...
