Living in the rough mountainous terrain of eastern Paktika and over the Pakistan border in Waziristan, the women of the Mangali tribe wear these leggings for protection. Loose, baggy trousers are tucked into them, and they are re-used until they wear out. Very thick bergundy silk thread is worked in horizontal rows on the top in cross stitch, and on the lower part in vertical bands of heavy whip stitch. This is a really nice glass Rose top Dresser Box made by Anchor Hocking Glass. This Dresser Box Lid is ivory colored. The Bottom is a peach color. The Dresser Box measures 4 1/4 inches X 3 3/4 inches X 2 1/2 inches high. Both the Lid and Bottom are both in very good condition with no chips, crack or scratches. English Staffordshire small Copper Luster Porcelain Creamer, 2 1/8" high, 2 3/4" wide with handle included, and Maple leaf design in copper luster color, stamped "Ters Hanley, England" in green and impressed marks, and pearl luster glaze inside around the rim. The condition is good, no damage.

Line 700 was produced by Consolidated Glass Company in 1929. Offered here is the #710 salad plate in blue crystal. (The color is the glass itself, not a fired on finish.) The plate measures 8 inches in diameter and is in excellent condition. Dinnerware items are very hard to find in this pattern and especially in this color. A carved and painted wood model of a totem pole of the Tlingit, indigenous peoples of the Pacific Northwest Coast of North America. Depecting a frog, a whale, a bear and a beaver, the back is inscribed in ink and the base is dated New York, U.S.A. June 1931. Dimensions: c. total 40.1 cm high, diameter stand: c. 7.5 cm. Condition: beautiful patina, few tiny chips and minimal wear, the base with little losses to bark.

Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the 6 1/2 inch hat shaped vase in emerald green.
