Fantastic late 1960s – 1970s, I believe based on style, modernist sterling silver and ribbon long cascading circles collar necklace signed by Niels Erik From of Denmark. Scandinavian jewelry is one of my favorite genres – I love the slick, innovative design, the bold minimalism and the “honesty” of materials used so I am always on the look out for good examples...

Two modernist brooches by Elis Kauppi for Kupittaan Kulta of Finland are available. You may purchase them individually or as a pair.

The first one is a three dimensional sterling silver brooch in what looks like a pair of smiling lips. This brooch measures 2 3/8" across and 1/2" high. Fine condition, has minor tarnish.

This 1960s pendant is composed of what appears to be a very thickly molded pewter, roughly finished and suspended from a sturdy cable chain. The back of the pendant bears an unidentified maker’s mark of Å.A. Pendant measures 3 1/8 inches long by 2 5/8 inches wide. The entire necklace, including pendant and chain, drops almost 17 inches; it does not have a clasp.

Two pair of vintage sterling silver earrings by Hans Hansen, Denmark are available.

The first pair has a more traditional design. They measure 1 1/8" long and 3/4" wide. Marked with the script Hans Hansen signature, Denmark, 925S and style #422. The clips hold securely. Have a warm patina.

The second pair are round with raised domes surrounded by oxidized silver. They measure 5/8" across. They are marked HaH, Denmark and 925S. The screw backs hold securely...

This roughly-made pewter pendant has a hammered-look surface and the look of an ancient Nordic medallion. It has its original chain, which is secured with a spring-ring clasp. The pendant bears the mark of Norwegian workshop Troll-Tinn, of Åndalsnes, and has its original chain. The pendant measures 5 ½ inches long, including the bale, and 2 3/8 inches wide; clasped, the entire necklace measures just under 14 ¾ inches long.

A sterling silver modernist pendant necklace in a cubes design by Danish silversmith, Niels Erik (NE) From. Pendant is made up of 4 cubes connected to a thick wire with a sterling 'pearl' at the top. Marked From 925S on the hook shaped bale. Pendant measures about 2 1/4" long and 3/4" across. Also measures 3/16" thick. Pendant is in fine condition.

Dragon brooch in the Viking style, the fable animal copied from the superbly elegant 12th century wood carvings on the portal of Urnes stave church in Norway, now on the Unesco World Heritage list. Sterling silver with marks 925, NM under crown for the National Museum and Copy. Height including the small (and movable) handle "2/ 5.3 cm. Condition: fine.

A reticulated sterling silver pendant of geometric elements and elongated bale, suspended from an .830 silver chain. Both bear the marks of H.C. Østrem of Drammen; it's very unusual to find a pendant by this maker with its original chain. The script maker's mark also is not often seen. The entire necklace measures15 inches long with the chain doubled, including the 3-inch-long pendant. Weight: 23.6 grams, total

A vintage Tulip bracelet in sterling silver designed by the Danish silversmith, Georg Jensen, #100B. This bracelet was purchased in Denmark and comes with the original box from the store on Østergade in Copenhagen.

Measures 7 1/4" long and 3/4" at the widest. Weighs 25 gr. Has a round box closure that holds securely. Additionally it has a fold over safety catch.

From the same Florida estate as the Danish malachite pendant, this is a another expertly hand crafted signed Danish sterling pendant with a wonderful orbital rutilated quartz. It measures 1 5/8" long and 1" wide. It is in fine original condition and could be worn on a chain or thin neck ring. Signed IU 925S and Handmade in Denmark. The stone is fascinating and perfect for this solid setting.

This interesting openwork bronze pin is formed as a stylized horse and is based on ancient Nordic design. It has a lacquered finish to preserve the surface color of the bronze. The back has a secure curled C-clasped and the mark of Finnish maker Koravala Koru. The name of Suomussalmi, a region in Finland, is inscribed on the back as well. The pin measures 2 inches long by about 1 ¾ inches high at the ear.

An amazing modernist sterling silver pendant from Finland designed by Kari Saarinen for Kaunis Koru. Three dimensional sleek design.

Marked on the back KSa for the designer, Finland silver standard, 925, and Z7 for 1977. Also marked with the stylized back to back KK for Kaunis Koru.

Measures 2 1/8" long, 1 1/8" at the widest and 1/2" at the deepest. Currently strung on a silken cord but due to the large bale could be worn on a thick chain or neck ring.

Choice of 2 pair of sterling silver clip earrings by Georg Jensen, a floral design #36 or a spiral one, #102.

The floral pair measure 5/8" across. The spiral pair are 3/4" across and 1/2" high. Both pair are marked Georg Jensen in a dotted oval, 925S Denmark, and 36 and style 102 respectively. The spiral earrings were designed by Arno Malinowski.

No need to have pierced ears, they have clips which hold securely. The floral clips swivel and the spiral clips are the hinge style.

A bronze pendant and probably copper chain by Hannu Ikonen of Finland in the iconic Reindeer Moss design. Pendant measures almost 2" long including the bale and 1 1/2" across. A large 1" in diameter porcelain cabochon. Abstract patterns in brown and gray, and gold overlay is the focus of this interesting Norwegian ring. Cabochon is bezel set in sleek sterling mount that has an adjustable back- which is currently a size 6.5. It is marked "925S, Norway, Sterling," and with an anchor shaped hallmark. By Porsgrund, circa 970s. The designer attributed to this piece is Anne Marie Odegaard. In excellent vintage condition.

Huge copy of one of the most famous brass and copper cuffs bracelets by modernist ART SMITH, probably c.1980's. Unsigned, it measures 5" by 9 3/4" outside circumference and 2 1/2" diameter at openings. Crudely made, it does not have the fine craftsmanship of Art Smith. The soldering at the back of the brass wire has solder showing connecting the wires. Otherwise, it's in excellent condition. The Nordic-style pendant is suspended from a cable chain with two large rings and no clasp. The back of the pendant bears the maker’s mark of Kalevala Koru, of Helsinki, Finland. It also shows the mark for the year 1971. Modernist globular silver earrings by renown Finnish designer Liisa Vitali whose characteristics are pierced, cut-out shapes. The Leppäkerttu / Ladybug collection appeared around 1970. Together with the Pitsi / Lace series it belongs to Vitali’s most popular designs. Swedish import marks (three crowns in an oval and S) and 925. Diameter of the little globes: "3/5/ 1.5 cm. An iconic "Lentils" necklace crafted in hematite by Angela Cummings for Tiffany & Co. Cummings began designing with lentil-shaped beads in late 1980 and it became one of her hallmarks. An elegant 18K yellow gold and diamond 5-piece dress set from the “Vannerie” collection by Tiffany & Co. The double-faced cufflinks and studs are worked in an open basketweave pattern into a slightly domed shape.
