This pretty pin combines the styles of Art Nouveau and Edwardian jewelry. We are attributing it to Whiteside & Blank, although it’s unsigned (not unusual for the time), since it’s remarkably similar to another piece by them. The pin consists of a gold framework enameled in very pale green – almost white - in a formal Edwardian key pattern. In the middle is a sprig of gold leaves with a pearl berry; the stem twines around the framework. An interesting juxtaposition of the formal and the org...

These earrings are made of roughly cast concave oval discs. Each drop hangs from a rosette-shaped top and swings freely. Due to the casting process, there are slight differences in darkness among the pieces: The tops exhibit darker oxidation than the drops, and there is a slight difference in shade between the earrings in general. The surface has a brushed finish. The screw backs are marked S835, with an unidentified maker’s mark of what looks like I.Bh. They are probably Norwegian. Each earri...
Stunning and rare, especially in its use of the specific stone, this vintage Mexican silver necklace features a combination pin / pendant signed by Taxco's foremost lapidary, Felipe Martinez, and a substantial chain from the same period which I believe might be by the same maestro as it bears an Eagle assay mark that Martinez used. And yes, the superbly carved "mask" is teased out of tiger's eye stone though a more unusual kind that it often referred to as "hawk's" or "falcon's eye". I have sold...
