This Beautiful belt buckle is made entirely of Mid-Victorian Hand-Carved Whitby Jet. The Brooch is deeply carved with leaves and flower blooms – in great detail.

Today it is illegal to mine jet in Whitby because the only jet left is in seams in the walls of the cliffs over the town. To remove it from the cliffs would cause them to tumble down and destroy the town. The two remaining jet cutters today have to rely on pieces that wash up on the beaches of this seacoast town...

Twentieth Century 14 Karat Blue lapis lazuli signet ring of German or Austrian origin, with initials SVC and a charming intaglio of a stylized castle. The band has a purity mark of 585 on one side and a maker's mark on the other. The ring is hand engraved in the inside of the band with "Van Vater, March 12 1985", German for "From Father, March 12 1985". The ring dates from 1975-1985...

The earrings are 2 1/2" long. The bracelet is 7 1/2" long x 1/2" wide. The square rhinestons are brown.

This McClelland Barclay gold and pave silver maple leaf pin is rhodium plated base metal with rhinestones. It is hallmarked McClelland Barclay. This pin is Circa 1940.

The groups of Yao minority live in in both China and Thailand. This necklace is of low grade silver which was typical of the Chinese jewelry around the late 1800's and early 1900's. The necklace is light weight and comfortable to wear.

A fine large 18K yellow gold Venetian Etruscan fob, bracelet charm or pendant set with oval amethysts and pearls in a crown shape. The gold surfaces are enhanced with twisted wire, rosettes and beading. The amethysts have very good, even coloring in an appealing medium-violet shade. The pearls have nice luster and rosy overtones that compliment the color of the amethysts. The bail is marked for 18K gold.

Dainty and lovely, this enamel, pearl, and sapphire Art Nouveau stickpin is 14k gold and just plain beautiful. The pin is set with seed pearls and a faceted sapphire and the enamel shades from pink to green. The head of the pin is 1/2" and the pin itself 2" in length. Comes with a clutch to protect the end. [No matter how lovely the stickpin, it's bad if you stab yourself!] Circa 1900.

Dramatic vintage necklace in textured goldtone metal with seriously huge brilliant crystal prong set stones in very subtle colors. 1960s. Not marked, however, the design, materials and findings are characteristically French. I have another necklace listed with these distinctive chain links. With a slide closure. There are eleven stones in red, dark green, colorless crystal, silver, fuschia, peridot, lavender, royal blue, aqua, and a fabulous olive color...

Heavy brilliant green glass beaded necklace with silvertone hook and matching extender chain. The hook is marked MADE IN FRANCE. The beads are strung on fine metal wire. This lovely sterling silver pin is a classic example of the Japanisme influence popular during the Aesthetic Movement of the late 19th century. It features embossed images of a dragonfly and two delicate plants as well as tiny marks emulating Asian characters, all on an irregular-shaped disk. Made by George W. Shiebler of New York City, the molding is sharp and detailed; it does appear to have a secure rollover clasp that would have replaced the original C-clasp...

These dainty, clipback earrings are another fine example of the basse-taille enamel work of David-Andersen. The shiny vermeil accentuates the lovely, pearly white leaves that encircle each other on each earring. Both earrings are marked with the David-Andersen hallmarks: the pair of scales, D-A 925 S STERLING NORWAY, with the designer's mark (W inside a circle)...

A thoughtful design with a sense of movement distinguishes this sterling ring, set with what is likely a tourmaline cabochon. The band is composed of two strands of hammered silver that gracefully curl around the finger. The strands also curl around the bezel mounting, which holds the untreated sugarloaf-shape stone. It is marked sterling. The stone and mounting rise to just under 1/4 inch; the ring is sized at a 6 scant.

An elegant vintage 18" gold plated chain link necklace with facetted purple crystal links c1920. This unsigned necklace has a spring-ring catch, and it is in excellent condition with no cracks, dents, bends, corrosion, losses, damage or repairs other than some small edge chips to two of the 7/16" wide crystal beads. All items are thoroughly and conservatively graded and all condition issues are noted; all items are vintage or antique and may have slight signs of gentle use...

This beautifully executed 18 Kt yellow gold brooch from the 1960’s depicts two darling poodles standing at attention with a mischievous sparkle in their natural ruby and sapphire eyes. Their matching enameled collars add a touch of color to the richness of the textured gold. The brooch measures 1 ¼ inches wide and 1 inch tall. On the reverse side, there is a diamond-shaped hallmark stamped with a B in an oval with 18Kt and 750 marked on either side.

A very rare early pair of double-sided cufflinks, the navette-shaped faces centered with Persian turquoise cabochons surrounded by borders of rose cut diamonds set in silver. Round two-sided cuff links ringed with inlaid cobalt blue enamel in a scalloped decoration and a central engraved grid pattern.
