Listed Glendale artist Mary Owens was known for paintings, but she also made jewelry during her career. She died several years ago, and this figural pendant brooch was purchased directly from her estate. It was one of her personal pieces which she made for herself, circa 1950s. Large, at 3" tall. Unsigned but will come with a certificate of authenticity from the City of Glendale's Brand Library, which conducted the sale. Excellent vintage condition.

These double-sided sterling silver cuff links feature bold embossed floral edges around elongated buttons. They are late 19th century and well constructed with securely soldered bridge links, which are marked sterling. They are most likely American. Made in Mexico City and following the “Matl school of repoussage” this early Deco silver and turquoise bracelet is anonymous and … gorgeous. Textured repousse feather motifs are predominant here, an allusion to the divine Feathered Serpent of ancient Mesoamerican civilizations. I have always thought that this specific type of work that allows you to follow the maestro’s hand as it works the silver could easily be considered Mexico’s Arts and Crafts expression...

A large sterling silver brooch by Taxco artisan Enrique Ledesma with a dark green elongated stone. Measures 2 3/4" long and 1 1/8" wide. Marked on the back Ledesma, Mexico, Taxco, 925, BB, Eagle #3 and design number 289. Has a rollover safety clasp that holds securely. Has a hairline on the side which doesn't go all the way through.
