This indescribable set dates to about 1870 and is in amazing condition. It is crafted of 18k yellow gold frames and backings with enamel accents. An extremely fine 14K white gold and pearl brooch by Mikimoto. Even by Mikimoto’s standards, the pearls are particularly good quality, with cream body color and strong rose overtones. The pearls are also quite generously sized, ranging from 7.85mm to 8.35. The surfaces have only slight natural blemishes and offer superb, clear reflections. A very fine 18K yellow gold fob charm set with coral cameos. The faces are similar to comedy and tragedy masks, with one frowning, one smiling and one somewhere in between. This size 4-1/2 or 4.5 yellow gold ring features a tested golden rectangle cut cut sapphire stone of approximately 3.75 carats (estimated from gauge measurement). An elegant Edwardian heart-shaped locket worked in 18K yellow gold. A beautifully made sterling bracelet of concave triangle shaped links by Danish Modernist Bent Knudsen. The bracelet clasp is one of his ingenious screw bolt clasps. This early 1940's Los Castillo necklace is a masterpiece, designed by Margot van Voorhies Carr / Margot de Taxco, who was married to Antonio Castillo at that time. Renaissance 22 Carat signet ring with a deeply carved intaglio puzzle in the form of a pictogram which uses pictures and letters to spell out words that convey its meaning. The rebus reads "Love You" with the heart symbolizing love and the V (based off the old Latin alphabet) for the letter U, representing the vowel U which represents "You".
