The creator Mizoguchi Yoshiharu
Mr. Mizoguchi is a kaleidoscope creater living in Shizuoka prefecture,Japan
and he is also good at using lacquer, making dynasty style paper and writing calligraphy.
Recently, he has also created works using wood grain with old Japanese cloth.
The kaleidoscope created from his excellent sensitivity has
a representation of Japanese beauty "wabi sabi"at the image and the shape.

This is an American painting from the first half of the 20th century, the subject gulls in flight. The unsigned oil on canvas measures 24" by 36", plus 2 1/2" of interesting Deco style weathered black painted wood frame on a side. I purchased this in Miami some years back, thinking the work bore considerable resemblance to the Florida-period works of JANE PETERSON (1876-1965), a major American artist who painted in South Florida for some time...
