Impressionist painting of harborside buildings, apparently American as original "$70.00" price on reverse appears adjacent to title "Fishing Village" and the 1965 date---although the subject appears more European. Work is on Masonite, and measures 18" by 22" as framed in white and black painted wood. That framing is scuffed and soiled, shows its age. If you are handy and so inclined you could restore it nicely, retaining the original period look, or, re-frame...

Gustav Langenberg was born in 1859 in Dusseldorf. Langenberg was probably one of the most widely traveled painters from the Düsseldorf School of Painting, who, after stints in Munich and Paris, also undertook very productive trips to North and South America. This work measures 20x24” done circa 1900

This etching appears at first glance to be almost certainly a work of famous Dutch artist Rembrandt van Rijn, but further study shows it to be a 19th century print by Chevalier IGNACE JOSEPH DE CLAUSSIN (1766-1844), ardent, eccentric artist in his own right and a scholar and copyist of graphic work by the Dutch master. De Claussin published in 1824 a catalogue raisonne that at the time was a major contribution to the scholarly study of Rembrandt's prints...

Still Life With Game, depicting a hare was done circa 1910 in oil on canvas. The painting is very fine and recalls the Still life’s by Manet and others just a few years earlier. The work is done in a highly impressionist style

Pastel Painting on Paper in Frame, 22 1/2" x 16" (frame size), 17 1/2" x 10 1/2"(Painting size), snow capped high mountain and some Castle ruins in the background, beautiful Castle complex can be excessed from the land, and sailing boat in the lake, such beautiful peaceful surroundings. Long. There is no date but I would imagine this pre-dates 1940. The handwriting suggests that the artist was English or Bermudian. The colors are unusually fresh and rich; obviously this has escaped exposure to ultraviolet light...

A poetic and dreamy watercolor titled on reverse "The Tail of St. John's Lake", (and original 32 Pound Sterling price) signed at lower right with what appears as "H Vaux" or similar. The mid 20th century watercolor is by a masterful hand. Painted in muted colors, it measures 7 1/4" by 12 1/2" inside the present mat, and 14 1/2" by 19 1/2" in modern simple framing. Could be shipped without the non-glare glass and frame. Further research could result in positive identification of the artist...
