A fine American miniature portrait of a young woman with sausage curls, wearing a lace cap and fichu, with a black dress with black dots. The watercolor painting is done on natural wafer, and enclosed in a period cast bronze foliate case with a glazed aperture on the reverse.
The miniature has no chips, cracks, or bowing. The painting slipped slightly in its case when I scanned it, but this is easily adjusted. Sight size is 2 1/4" by 1 7/8", while the case size is 2 3/4" by 2 1/4".

A colorful set of African scenes. The medium appears to be oil on paper. Two are signed by Gallin, one is signed Bonnaie, another Hona (?)and the last Dzio(?). The frames show some wear and chipping and one picture is missing its glass but is protected by a plastic sheet.
Peter Moran, American, 1842-1914, "Noonday". A finely detailed original etching by Peter Moran, this image measures 7 3/4 x 10 5/8 inches, 1887, state II/III, cat: Wright- 94, with the separate frog remarque lower left, pencil signed, framed. Peter Moran was one of the foremost artists of the American etching revival of the late 19th century. He was known for his images of cows and farm animals, as well as his atmospheric scenes of the American Southwest.
