Internationally acclaimed artist Bruce Onobrakpeya (b. 1932 ) produced this expressionistic image of a black fishes during one of his earlier periods of artistic expression in 1963. The serigraph depicts gold fish swimming in a pond or lake expressing, perhaps, the beauties of African natural life. This color aquatint etching by the French Expressionist Georges Rouault measures 12 1/8 x 8 3/8 inches, plate signed, from the "Circus of the Shooting Stars" series, a group of eight color aquatints created in 1930, on Rives BFK laid type paper, initialed and dated in the plate, lower right, edition of 270, cat: Wofsy-212.

This Warren Davis etching measures 7 7/8 x 6 inches, pencil signed, label from Kleemann-Thorman Galleries, New York included, c.1928. This delicately rendered etching is a great example of Davis's images of graceful female nudes, many of which were used for Vanity Fair and Life magazines in the very early 1900s.
