This painting measures 22"x28". Helen LaFrance is a self-taught, modern, contemporary artist who is 99 years of age. Oil on canvas, circa late nineteenth century, 21 1/2" by 26 3/4" and about one inch wide framing, unsigned, featuring feathery trees, distant snowy mountains, a lake with small sail craft, and a gentleman pulling in nets on another small boat. This painting is in need of restoration, but, I believe it well worth saving for posterity. There are some holes, the largest about 3/4" by 1/2", at lower left, a similar one at upper left, and some much smaller punctures at far right...

If I had to guess as to age and origin I would say circa 1800 English, possibly later 18th century. The drawing is in very good condition for its age, with quite fresh colors...

Original 19th Century albumen photograph by Jean-Pascal Sebah (1872-1947) of the New Hotel in Cairo. Circa 1888-1895. Titled l.l. Signed in the plate l.r. Jean-Pascal was the son of Pascal Sebah (1823-1886) and took over the family studio in Constantinople in 1888. The studio specialized in scenes of Egypt and the Middle East.

An English antique line engraving by Taylor, published by Alexander Hogg in "The Antiquities of England and Wales", 1795, the subject given as "View of Lambeth Palace in Surrey". The print measures 7 1/4" by 9 1/4" (and 13 1/2" by 15 1/2" framed). The print looks decidedly antique, the paper with old crinkles, and it is simply laid against a pinkish board. It appears to have been possibly trimmed at bottom. The decorative print is hand colored...

A very rare Han Dynasty Chinese Terra Cotta Guanyin sculpture measuring 16” in height. The sculpture with traces of polychrome. Dressed in fine clothes, it was made as an object of worship and most likely had a bouquet in her left hand, as a symbol of marriage. An incredible rare piece for the advanced collector.

Watercolor on quality paper, 7 3/4" by 11", 10 1/4" by 13 3/4" as framed, the subject the famous and iconic symbol of the Santa Fe and Taos region of northern New Mexico, the sanctuary near the town of Chimayo. The art is titled at lower left margin and dated there 2004, and signed "Benke" or similar at lower right. Condition is excellent. A decorative little item if you're looking for something that reminds you of your trip to that scenic and history-filled region of the country.

Ink and watercolor drawing of cows in a field, 13 1/2" by 21 1/2" (20 1/2" by 29" framed), signed at lower center "Sam Smith" The modeling of the animals shows that the artist was a keen observer of their forms and a talented draftsman. Apparently this is not by the listed New Mexico artist Sam Smith (1918-1999) as the signature is not similar and the work itself does not resemble that artist's work. This watercolor is in excellent, fresh, clean condition, the paper very white.
