Oil on board, 20" by 24" and frame 2 3/4" wide, signed in the paint at lower right "H. YOSHIZUMI" and dated there "57". Titled on two labels "Monterey Wharf", this is a striking, impressionist yet modern painting by a talented artist who was born in nearby Watsonville of Japanese ancestry. Yoshizumi was incarcerated during World War II at the Poston, Arizona internment camp. Many net references discuss the art he was able to produce while there, depicting his grim and alien surroundings...

The condition is excellent, with no issues to speak of. The reddish area on the edge from 9:00 to 12:00 is due to light reflection. The painting appears much better in person than the photo shows. Framed size is 2 1/2" by 2".

Fine old 19th century watercolor painting of a cavalier-type figure and a woman trying the new batch of wine as it comes from the cask, a friendly dog lazing at right. The painting measures 10 1/4" by 13 1/2" inside the mat, (presently essentially unframed, the frame is in poor condition and is very inexpensive to begin with), signed at lower right by artist Gamba da Vinza. I have researched the name and do not find a listing for this artist, who was obviously well trained...

Original etching on BFK Rives paper, "Issachar", from the Twelve Tribes of Israel series, 1973, signed by the artist SALVADOR DALI (1904-1989) at lower right margin and numbered 21/195 at lower left. The work is generally clean and comes with quality gold leaf framing, but no glass. There is slight oxidation within the mat opening. Print is taped at top edge only. Measurements are 22 1/2" by 15 1/2" inside the mat; sheet measures 25 1/2" by 19 3/4"; and finally, 32" by 25" framed.

Original American signed floral oil painting on stretched canvas of a grouping of phalaenopsis orchids, one taking center stage against a dark background that when the right light hits it at the right angle, you can see a dark phalo blue green appear. The body is composed of two phoenixes, the heads of the birds naturally forming the handles. The stone is very hard, green speckled with translucent white. The cover is also formed of 2 birds, it is not pierced so it is possible that it is not a censer, although it can be used without a cover. It is placed on a finely carved hardwood base. There are some numbers stamped inside, probably so as not to mix up the bases. China 20th century around the 70s. Good condition...
