Watercolor and ink on paper painting of a large mature tree in a landscape, 14" by 18" inside the mat, 22" by 25" overall in contemporary pleasant gold framing, titled at lower right "HORTUS LEIDEN GLINGKO TREE/RAPHAEL". The work is by the hand of the important impressionist painter JOSEPH MORRIS RAPHAEL (1869-1950). This is a very unusual and unique work, 23 1/4" by 18 3/4", (39 3/4" by 28" framed), in tempera or similar medium on board, signed at lower right by artist G. W. Harris and dated 1992. Difficult to describe, I would say it is a compilation of themes relating to the Harlem area of Manhattan, home to African-American culture for decades. Among the pictorial elements are a 125th Street sign, a marquee sign with "Miles Davis" and the Apollo Theater, the Daily News, and "Bar"...

“Stirring the Pot” is an Asian inspired original drawing in clay by David Bryce. In this incised panel, he molds and marks the clay, creating a simple and familiar action – stirring a pot. Ready to hang, it is in excellent condition and measures 21” x 13 inches. Artist signed. Dated 2007. Color is a greenish taupe with dark brown. In excellent condition, it measures 12"x 13".

A beautifully executed mixed media drawing of famous Spirit Island, one of the most photographed places in the Canadian Rockies, at Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park, Alberta, signed at lower right by talented artist Don Slote and dated there 4/1972. The work, primarily in pastel, with some pencil, measures 12" by 15" (19 1/2" by 22 1/2" framed). Condition of frame and art is excellent and fresh, belying its fifty years...

This very well carved agate contemporary snuff bottle is 2 ¾” high, 1” wide and 3 quarters of an inch thick. The artist used the colors very well. The lighter part was carved as the body of the bottle. The dark part was carved as a bamboo branch with leaves and small Ling Zhi (tree mushroom). It is well hollowed, polished and in great condition.

An interesting marriage of Japanese kirigami or "kirie" art, (paper intricately cut to a lace-like appearance, that finished work, in this example, a crane standing in water, and surrounded by pine trees) and a circa 1885 American Eastlake style gold and black frame. The paper art measures 5 1/2" by 5", and the entire framed piece 15" by 13 1/2". The kirigami has been laid against a green-blue crushed velvet type surface, creating an interesting effect...

Contemporary Australian aboriginal art "dot" painting, acrylic on a thin canvas, signed on the reverse by artist POLLY PUNTJUNTA, and stamped with the Original Aboriginal Art Company stamp, of Adelaide, South Australia.
