Watercolor and ink marker drawing of Greek buildings by dark blue sea, a boat at right, signed at lower left with signature that appears as "Bremmer". I think this was likely created by an American artist, perhaps painting while on vacation in the Mediterranean. I'd date it as maybe 1980's. It is a pleasant and decorative work that should evoke memories of vacations in the Greek Islands; this could very likely be a view of famous Santorini. Condition is excellent...

A modern, stylish abstract in violets and blue-green colors, nicely framed ("floating") with inner fillet and very complementary silvery outer frame, signed at lower right by artist MARC BENSIMON (1926-) and dated there 1982. The work measures 18" by 12" (28" by 22 1/2" framed). Surprisingly, considering the quality of the work, I am unable to locate information on the artist. Condition is excellent, just the slightest wear on the frame. Very decorative sleek work for the home.

This is a very unusual and unique work, 23 1/4" by 18 3/4", (39 3/4" by 28" framed), in tempera or similar medium on board, signed at lower right by artist G. W. Harris and dated 1992. Difficult to describe, I would say it is a compilation of themes relating to the Harlem area of Manhattan, home to African-American culture for decades. Among the pictorial elements are a 125th Street sign, a marquee sign with "Miles Davis" and the Apollo Theater, the Daily News, and "Bar"...

Watercolor and ink drawing of a plump Victorian era gentleman in waistcoat, ("Mr Dick"), 7 3/4" by 5 3/4" inside the mat, 13" by 11" framed, signed at center left "Kyd". This is a work of the noted illustrator JOSEPH CLAYTON CLARKE, who went by the pseudonym "Kyd". A fine example of art from Canada's far north, a mixed media drawing (17 1/2" by 24 1/2", 23 1/4" by 30 1/4" framed), signed at lower right and dated there 1986 by noted Inuit artist PETER RAGEE (1955-). A native man seems to be pulling on a reindeer, stylized land (ice pack?) below. The medium appears to be some kind of crayon, with some salmon rose ink outlines. Condition is excellent save for some slight rippling of the paper at top...

Contemporary pencil and watercolor drawing in simple metal gold framing, the subject two women apparently dancing in a late 19th century cafe, the drawing 8 1/2" by 5 1/4" inside the mat (the entire sheet significantly larger, at 11 3/4" by 8 1/4"), signed at lower right "Dan" or "Han" or similar. The scene reminds of George Grosz' 1920's drawings of Berlin cafe goers, or even Toulouse Lautrec's Parisian cafe's. The drawing is nicely crafted.

This is a hand painted original work, the subject a newly married couple, he in Edwardian (??) formal coat and medals and monocle, she in traditional white with a corsage. The image was either intentionally cut out by the artist and pasted onto a board which was in turn pasted onto a light green silky surface, or someone has subsequently decided on this presentation. Currently the figures therefore stand out in something of a three dimensional manner from the background...

Found in Southern California, this is a mixed media (colored markers and pencils) drawing on paper, 23 1/4" by 18", unframed, the subject a stylized seated obese woman. The artist signed her name at lower right and dated the work nearby "04". The name appears to me as "Greta A. Dietrich" or similar, but I do not see a listing under the various possibilities I have investigated---more research might turn up the artist name...

This is a most interesting assemblage, of ceramic, paint, photographs and other materials, 16" by 24", unframed, signed at lower right and in two places on the stretcher and dated 2005 by the noted Belgium-born, California contemporary artist SIMONE GAD (1947-2021). Gad attended Los Angeles colleges in the mid 1960's and by the early 1970's was already becoming an active exhibitor in galleries and other art venues...
