Very rare brass and enamel pin signed "MACCHIARINI", c.1940's. Peter Macchiarini(deceased) was a very famous San Francisco modernist jewelry designer and his works are extremely desirable. The provenance of this piece has been identified by his son, Dan Macchiarini. He states that it was a private commission by someone wanting a clown face. This turned out to be a joint venture between Peter and his then student, Virginia De Haas, whom he later married...

Beautiful 14k gold and diamond tree brooch, c.1960's. This piece has a lovely modernist/art nouveau design showing a tree blowing in the wind and is set with 7 small diamonds in the branches. Very unusual retro cabochon emerald ring in a 14k rose gold setting. The very large emerald is approximately 8 carats and is UNEVEN at the top of the stone and has many inclusions.
