Oil on canvas painting of a picturesque old water mill located on a stream in high alpine mountains, 22" by 30" (29 1/2" by 38" framed), not signed on the front side but the reverse side shows post-1885 stretcher keys, and pencil writing which identifies the scene as "The Valley of Jen(bach)? Switzerland", and the artist as "Louise Goodman 1914". The artist does not appear to be listed. The scene might possibly have been painted after an original by another artist of the 19th century...

Titled and numbered 7/25 l.l. Also signed and dated '61 l.r. This work is also signed and marked "imp" by Berk Chappell. cf: "The Lost Works of Wendell H. Black" by Henry Sayre, plates 7 and 8--plates are misattributed in the book, since GH III should be plate 8, and GH IV should be plate 7.

A color print, pencil signed at lower right, numbered 466/900 at lower left, by the noted western American artist OLAF WIEGHORST (1899-1988). The title is "Navajos at Castle Creek", measuring 17 3/4" by 24 1/2" inside the mat, 28" by 34" as framed. Wieghorst was born in Denmark and was exposed to horses there. By 1918 he was in the United States. Ultimately he settled in the San Diego area and became well known for his western American art. Paintings have gone into six figures at auction...

Manley 1900", it is in its original gilt sterling case with a beaded edge, with the reverse appearing to be evenly tarnished. Excellent condition with no problems, and measuring 3 1/4" by 2 3/4".
