It comes in the original signed double wood box titled Kisho (returning home) and is in excellent condition...

The scene is a small boat harbor with a traditional church and coastal village in the middle ground. Bonas was born in Barcelona but was in France in his twenties. This is an image of a young African-American boy grinning while leaning against a building, the image mounted on a board signed by the photographer, Arthur S. Little. After googling the name I find that around the late 'teens and early twenties, there was a photographer in Los Angeles and Ventura by that name, though he does not seem to have had a high profile. I do not believe that this is an original photograph. The item is in good condition...

Qajar Miniature Watercolor of Lovers on a terrace with mountains in the background. The watercolor is painted in oval and seems at one time had a fitted matt. The painting is in good condition . The painting has gold leaf paint for her skirt and cuffs as well as silver leaf paint on the horizontal terrace railing . Size of oval is 5" by 3.5" page 9.25" almost 6.75"

Pastel on paper drawing of two female figures in black, possibly a mother and her daughter, 23 1/2" by 17 1/2", and narrow frame. I do not see a signature or date, though I believe the paper is likely from the 20th century. The drawing has not been properly framed (no mat) so there has been some contact with the glass...

**One of two very similar works by the artist in my shop, preferably to be kept together- Oil on canvas, 16 1/4" by 12 3/4", in an old master style but of mid to late 19th century date, teaturing a house, tree and dogs and travelers, signed at lower left by noted, auctioned artist PIERRE LOUIS JOSEPH DE CONINCK (1828-1910). This is an almost monochromatic, very understated, subtle painting; perhaps a study for a larger, highly finished work...

Oil on canvas painting of autumnal trees with a few houses in the composition at center, 12" by 16" (20 1/2" by 24 1/2" in newer frame), signed at lower right in red and dated 1933 or 1939 by Hungarian artist JANOS LASZLO ALDOR (1895-1944). As the images of the reverse labels show, the artist was apparently misidentified by previous owners, including the Brand Library in Glendale, California. An interesting and rather unusual part of the Emanation series that Haku Maki began to produce in the mid-1960s, Emanation 73 measures 8.3inW x 11.3inH and is the fourth of a small run of 50.

A strong English portrait miniature on natural wafer that will cause you to see spots before your eyes. However, they are on a high-necked dress worn by this woman whose attire also features a cap or wide headband. The reverse of the 2 1/2" by 2 1/8" gilt metal case has interwoven plaits of hair. Excellent condition.
