A Hand Colored Botanical Print Portraying Gladiolas. The Artist is the Victorian Jane Webb Loudon (1807-1858), and the Print is from the book “The Ladies Flower Garden of Ornamental Bulbous Plants” (plate 12), published in 1841 by Day and Haghe London, Lithographer to Queen Victoria. obscure artist, with very few, if any, signed works. This attribution is based on the similarity in technique to an example in a book by Bolton, and information that the pair came from a couple living in CT who are purportedly descendants of the artist...

This is a fine watercolor painting by American artist Nora S Unwin. The title, inscribed on the backing board is: A Memory of Greece. This painting is hand signed and dated 1966 by the artist. The image measures 13 1/2X17 1/2 inches. Unwin was the well known artist and illustrator who lived and worked in Peterborough New Hampshire. This watercolor on artist board is in very fine condition.
Acquired from the recent liquidation of the extensive estate of actor Charlton Heston and his wife Lydia, this is an original photograph, unsigned/unattributed, measuring 13 1/2" by 17 3/4", unframed, in a clean white mat. There are a number of contemporary notations in pencil on the mat, including "STILL LIFE MID 1920", and a $300 asking price. The photo seems to be perhaps earlier, so "circa 1900" might be reasonable...

The vigorously worked trees, sweep of the curved interaction of park and street, and small cars, flags and figures make for a handsome work...
“Stirring the Pot” is an Asian inspired original drawing in clay by David Bryce. In this incised panel, he molds and marks the clay, creating a simple and familiar action – stirring a pot. Ready to hang, it is in excellent condition and measures 21” x 13 inches. Artist signed. Dated 2007. Color is a greenish taupe with dark brown. In excellent condition, it measures 12"x 13".
