Oil on canvas extensive mountain and trees landscape laid on board, 8" by 10" (10 1/2" by 12 1/2" framed), unsigned, circa late 1920's to mid 1930's. I am certain that this is by a listed artist but sadly there's just no hint as to who created this. The scene could be western, or eastern; hard to tell. It was found in Southern California. I would lean towards it being a western scene...

In his book Daniel Tretiak says: “Maki’s kanji prints were normally of one main color against a white or black background. Poem 71-29 below is an exception—and all the more interesting because of it. In this print, Maki has created an abstract Person—the splashes of color show the head, eyes, shoulder, and two legs.” It measures 8.75in W X 12in H and is no. 73 of an edition of 152.

Vintage hazy focus, colorized photo of coastal Santa Monica, looking north and west towards Malibu, 11 1/2" by 9 5/8" as framed in pleasing Southwest style design wood frame. On the frame reverse is written in and old hand in ink "Santa Monica Bay" and "No. 5044". This was found in Connecticut and I recently brought it back home. A fine portrait miniature of a handsome gentleman painted on natural wafer by Henry Inman. The sitter is wearing a black jacket and stock, and a white waistcoat, shirt, and collar. Displayed in a cast foliate case with the reverse having a glazed aperture with a cast foliate surround and containing a lock of hair.

The painting is in excellent condition with no issues to note. The case is also in fine fettle, although the reverse could use a bit of cleaning...

Oil on masonite, 18" by 24", (23" by 29" as framed), the subject a copper kettle on a small wooden stand on a table, with a cup and saucer, small blue milk pitcher and poinsettia in a decorative blue vase filling out the scene. The painting is signed at lower right "L. Johnson". I do not seem to be able to connect this to any listed artist so am offering it as a decorative work. It was found in San Diego, and the poinsettia suggests a California origin...

A soldered metal figural group sculpture apparently depicting a military charge in modern context. By Outsider/Brutalist Artist Franklin E. Wurster. Signed "Frank Wurster" and titled "The Race".
