Consolidated Glass Company produced the Catalonian line in 1927. It was made to look like glass found in Catalonia Spain at the archaeological sites, and had bubbles and raised rings blown into the glass. This is the 1172 fan vase - part of the Spanish Knobs variation. The vase is approximately 6 inches high and is done in a very interesting color treatment with a pink ceramic wash fired on over white glass. Excellent condition...

Chinese antique "Henan" stoneware vase of meiping form with ribbing, with a short collared neck over broad shoulders tapering to a narrow foot. Iron painted deep brown to black glaze. The glaze stopping short of the unglazed rim and base.

Age: Song to Jin Dynasty (960 - 1234)

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with milky white body and multicolor brocade pattern. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece, in perfect condition. Height 0.68 inches.

This really nice Wildfire tea or coffee cup and saucer were made by Hall China in the 1940s to 1950s. Both the cup and saucer are in very good condition with no chips or cracks. Very rare complete jacket back panel from the remote Miao Jiupang group from Jiahe County, Guizhou province (see last enlargement), with purple embroidered pattern between the spaces in the tin decoration. This style of decoration is unique to this group and very difficult to make, as every tiny bit of tin has to be individually cut and crimped. Recently acquired from a private Hong Kong collector, these are the first examples I have send of these I have seen in the past 10 years...

Running up to the end of our 60s and 70s ceramics, here is a great piece by a student of Yagi Kazuo, Yoshitake Hiromu (Hiroshi) enclosed in the original signed wooden box and dating from the late 60s or early 70s encapsulating the feeling of rage against conformity then rupturing the Japanese ceramic world. Offered is this large-sized (height: 8 inches & width: 3"), iridescent glass shade with applied threads, made by Durand/Vineland Glass Company, around 1925. Unsigned, as expected - it is in a definite Durand shape (please refer to page 146 of Meschi's book - shown in last picture here for your convenience). This is a unique bulldog walking stick. The handle of the stick is ivory and the bulldog on the end is metal. There is a very thin silver collar that separates the shaft from the ivory. There is a good amount of detail on this dog and the rosewood shaft is in good condition. The ferrule is ivory as well. This stick measures 35 1/4" x 5" x 1 1/4". The handle measures 1 1/2" x 5" x 1 1/4". The ferrule measures 1" and the collar 1/16".
