Mirror imaged pair of Chinese planters with attached bases painted. These tapered square planters have a design of birds and flowers on opposite sides with writing and a red seal and on the adjacent sides a poem along with additional two red seals. Painted in white on the outside with a slightly orange peel ground effect. The insides are lightly glazed. The bases are recessed with the corner mounts left un-glazed...

Chinese dingyao bowl of shallow conical form with lobed rim. The widely flaring sides divided into six lobes, with indentations along the rim corresponding to thin raised lines radiating from the circular inner well.

Age: Song Dynasty (960 - 1279)

Condition: Very good overall condition. Some kiln grit and a firing flaw on one of the lobes.

This is a rarely found object as part of Wilhelm Kåge's celebrated Argenta series produced for Gustavsberg. It measures 1 5/8" tall and is 1 7/8" in diameter. On the underside is painted in silver Argenta, the old Gustavsberg anchor insignia, Gustavsberg, 958. Impressed is the letter S. Excellent condition. There is crazing, which is normal for the glaze.

This pretty crystal clear Windsor, aka Diamond, depression glass 8 1/4 inch square three-part Relish Tray was made by Jeannette Glass from 1932 to 1946. This relish tray measures 1 inch high and is in very good condition with no chips or cracks. There is a 1 inch mold line on the surface of the tray, which was done in the making of the tray and does not take away from it's beauty. This mid 20th century carved ivory netsuke of a sumo wrestler is 2 ¼” high, 1 ¼” wide and 1” thick. It depicts a sumo wrestler dressed the traditional outfit staring straight ahead, ready to fight. The expression on his face is just great. The signature “Yoshido” is on his left foot. Aside of some color that has been rubbed off, it is in excellent condition.

Japanese glass ojime in a form of tombodama bead with bright red flowers floating in a stream, fine gols foil flakes background. Tombodama can be translated as “dragonfly ball” and the name is thought to come about because when the molten glass is applied to the core bead it resembles a dragonfly’s eye. Superbly made piece - see finely textured petals, in perfect condition. Height 0.64 inches.
