This is an original etching by Reginald Marsh (American 1898-1954)of Minsky's Chorus, the famous Burlesque venue in New York City. The original painting of this scene is in the permanent collection of the Whitney Museum. The original shows a reverse scene. Oil on gray academy board painting, 12" by 17 7/8", 16" by 22" in the rather battered old framing, unsigned, probably executed in the latter years of the nineteenth century in New England.
