Poem 71-76 is a yellow-gold print with a bit of a paisley influence. It is number 28 of an edition of 154. Created in 1971, it measures 13in wide x 19.5in high. It is in very good condition. There is tape residue on the back but the front is perfect. .

An interesting pastel drawing on paper, circa 1940's, the subject a clear green glass vase of violet and blue flowers set on a round table top adjacent to a high-floor window in a big city, lacy curtains framing the scene at both sides. The envelope sitting on the table appears to have a signature on it, in the trompe l'oeil tradition of the artist signing his/her name on an envelope; but that signature despite my best efforts defies reading...

Watercolor on paper, 13 1/2" by 19 1/2" inside the mat (20 1/2" by 26 1/2" as framed), signed at lower left "Roy E. Swanson" and titled in pencil on the backing board "Green Valley Church", along with the original $340.00 price. This watercolor is by a skilled hand, though I cannot seem to find a listing for the artist. There is a listing for a RAY Swanson (Cowboy Artists of America) is listed, but this is not that artist...

Large vintage watercolor and gouache painting of colorful flowers in a vase guarded on either side by startling white peacocks, 19" by 34 1/2" (26" by 41 1/2" framed), signed at lower left center with initials "VEJ". The work has some age but is not antique. Condition is excellent. A very decorative piece for your interior.

An elegantly understated print featuring spindly trees in a strangely empty landscape with one small structure, signed in pencil at lower right corner and numbered 146/260 at lower left, by the noted American contemporary artist ROBERT KIPNISS (1931-). Kipniss is known for his graphic art and for his paintings, which have gone into five figures at auction. He was born in Brooklyn and was taking art classes at the Art Students League as early as 1947...

78-2 (Water) In 1978 Haku Maki was nearing the end of his artistic effort using kanji (Chinese characters) as the main theme of his work. This print is one bold kanji, for Water. To make it easier for his gaijin admirers to know what it meant, he wrote "water' in the bottom margin...

Old impressionist oil on canvas laid on wood board painting of a typical Dutch scene with windmills, boats, and a waterway, 9" by 11 1/4" (13 1/2" by 15 3/4" in 20th century frame). There does appear to be a signature at lower left but despite my best efforts I am unable to determine that name...

Watercolor on quality watercolor heavy paper, 14 3/4" by 20" (18 3/4" by 24" as framed), the scenes a tropical street with historic old wood houses, likely Key West, Florida, and another street scene with a lone figure, signed in pencil at lower right something like "Meish...." or "Weish....."; I cannot decipher the name. The aritist probably created this in the 1960's or 1970's, and he or she was skilled with watercolor. The brush strokes are brisk but expertly placed. Condition is excellent...

This is a study in pencil by FERNAND LUNGREN (1859-1932) for an oil landscape of arid desert mountains of the American west. It measures 8" by 10 1/2". There's a mat but the work is not framed. This is a subtle work that is best viewed in person; it's very, very hard to photograph. The artist has made notations like "shaddow" (spelled like that), "all golden in warm sun", and "warm rosy gray".........showing the creative process...

A 20th century painting of a luminous, dramatic coastal sunset, the final light of the day reflecting on the rolling, beautifully depicted waves and aqua water, an interesting tree at right on the promontory adding balance and interest. The painting, unframed, 24" by 36", is not signed on the front but on the reverse is "Casati"...

The scene was likely painted in the vicinity of Boulder, Colorado in the 1960's, according to the son of the artist, who created a beautiful and comprehensive legacy website featuring her work...

A watercolor titled on reverse "The Scow ALMA", Tauranga, New Zealand, signed lower right and again on the backing, by listed England-born, New Zealand artist RICHARD "Dick" BAKER (1928-2004), measuring 6 1/4" by 9 1/2" (14 1/2" by 17" framed). The work was created in 1986. Baker's work is included in Te Papa Tongarewa, the National Museum of New Zealand, in Wellington, and at the National Maritime Museum at Greenwich, England. A quality work, the medium watercolor on a very thin linen type canvas, framed behind glass, 14 1/4" by 18 1/2" (22" by 26" framed), signed at lower right and bearing there a monogram cypher in an oriental art style, by San Diego artist and collector ELSIE STEWART KIMBERLY (1882-1966). There is little information on this talented woman artist, who was evidently most known around the San Diego area...

A vintage oil on canvas painting of a river canyon of the west or Southwest, circa 1950's, good-sized at 24" by 32" (32" by 40" in the likely original old charming frame), signed at lower right by artist Charles Crowder. I do not see a "listed" artist name that would correspond. The work much resembles that of California impressionist landscape artist James Merriam (1880-1951). Condition is excellent.
