The latest original regional marsh painting by this painter. A peaceful serene marsh scene depicting stark trees with the appearance of multi color leaves at their base. Look to the trunks and limbs to find the sky colors there too. The rock lined path takes you to the mid ground where you will find one white heron eying its meal in the marsh waters and two other birds in flight.

What this artist relishes painting is a distant luminous sky...sometimes subtle...sometimes more pronounced.....

A miniature portrait of a handsome gentleman in a blue jacket with gold buttons. Presented in the original cast foliate case, the reverse having chessboard hairwork centered with "RD" initials in underlying gold topped with pearls.

Excellent condition with any apparent issues being due to my infamous photographic skills. The case size is 2 1/2" by 2".

Chastel was active as an artist for decades, beginning at a very young age. By the 1920's he was already exhibiting. Later in life, his works were exhibited internationally...

This print is 13 inches wide x 20 75 tall. it is a spectacular Big Blue. The kanji reads words to the effect Give an inch, take a mile. Maki produced this print in 1971. It is number30 of 105.

A most unusual painting on wood panel, 24" by 30", unframed, featuring some gritty, tough-looking downtown Los Angeles men in a claustrophobic, vertiginous streetscape of old hotel buildings. The Hotel Rosslyn and annex were built in 1914 and 1923, respectively, and were fashionable places to stay, in their day, at Fifth and Main in old downtown. A mid-Victorian chromolithographic print c1860-80 in a period gilt frame depicting two kissing children with a doll. This unsigned 7-1/4 x 5-1/2" print is mounted on a lined mat and encased on a period 11 x 9" gilt wood frame with original glass; it is in excellent original condition with no rips, tears, foxing, staining, fading, losses, damage or repairs other than a small water stain to the mat on the lower right corner and some minor scrapes to the gilding on the frame...

A beautifully executed miniature portrait painting, on natural organic wafer, signed and dated, lower left, "Legenvre 1813". The sitter is a nice looking young gentleman with curly hair and hazel eyes, wearing a dark blue coat, white shirt and ascot, and pink edged vest.

Condition is excellent, with no cracks, bowing, or restoration...
